Today was a picture-perfect day in the Sunshine State. We started off walking this morning after breakfast. Everyone was out and about. Then we took the $7.00 large bag of golf balls that Mark got yesterday from the pro shop, and we walked over, hoping to improve my golf swing. We hit half of the 100 balls this morning, and the other half later this afternoon.
The swimming pool was fabulous and crowded also, but no one seemed to mind. We were just all happy for the warmth once again.
While swimming, I told Mark that we really needed to go find some alligators. After all, we've been here over two months, and it was past time. Jim and Betty told us that if we drove up SR441, we would find them lounging along the road. Right there were, within 10 miles of where we've been all along!
Steph - these pictures are for you:

There were eight of them just hanging out, all bunched up together.
Check out the mouth!
These alligators were not in a zoo or park - they were in a 2-mile stretch on the road in some prairie. I bet we saw at least 50 of them. Fortunately the state of Florida built a 4' high concrete wall on both sides of the road to keep the wildlife off. This was the second coolest thing I've seen yet since getting to FL (shuttle launch is still the best).

These pictures are about the closest I want to encounter an alligator.
