Today was the serious "get ready to roll" day. We got out of bed knowing that we had to fill up the tank, head to the grocery store, and stop off at an RV store to get a piece for the 5th wheel. Since the cupboards are bare, Mark offered to take me to breakfast. We came upon my favorite breakfast joint - IHop. I usually reserve this treat for lunch time with my dear friend Michelle from home. Knowing that I wouldn't see her for a few more weeks, I managed to enjoy my breakfast with Mark. No girl talk - just reading the USA Today and loads of coffee, plus that 2000+ calorie breakfast.
We stopped off at SweetBay to load up on meat and a few essentials, then back to the park to get in the pool. We don't think the pool where we're headed to in Gulf Shores is heated, so we had to enjoy this. As we anticipated - it was fabulous.
We finally got the outside all put away - it never goes back as easily as when we packed it all in December. Just a few things inside, and we'll be hitting the road by 6:00am - or whenever Mark wakes up.

Our spot is bare now.
We had mixed emotions late this afternoon when we had to go around and say goodbye to all of our new found friends. All of our new friends are returning to this park; we are not. We've told them all we'll be visiting in the park next season since we'll only be about a hundred miles away, and we will make every effort to keep in touch.
On a happy note - we filled up this morning - diesel dropped at a few stations - all the way down to $3.99 point 9!

Here's a sample of what we're going to miss next year.
The beautiful oak trees with the Spanish moss:

John and Frances from Ohio:

Tom and Deanna from near Eldridge, Missouri:

And last, but certainly not least: Our golfing buddies Joe and Marilyn from Arkansas.

There are many more friends, just no good pictures.
Signing off from Florida.
