New Things

This morning I got to lounge about reading - it's my favorite time of the day - all is quiet, no TV, just me, my coffee, and my book all bundled up in my Lazy-Boy leather recliner. It doesn't get much better! Mark was on the computer, and then he went out to bike ride.

At 11:15am we left to try out a new to us golf course. Gary and Anne were meeting us at our 12:32p tee time. The course was nice, and we had a lot of fun. My game is still improving.

Afterwards we went to the Cajun styled Harry's Restaurant. We got there in time for the "early bird specials" - three magic words for all retirees - plus it was two-for-ones on draft beer and wine. At least Gary and I got to take part in that deal.

I've decided that I love fried grits - at least the ones from Harry's. I had shrimp and scallops in some kind of hot cajuny sauce, served over the fried grits. In no way was this healthy - but man, was it good!

Ater a quick stop at the Winn Dixie on the way back to the RV park to pick up the items we forgot last night (tp, wine coolers, milk, soap), we made it back home at 7:30p. I'm whipped, and typing this while Mark is down the street checking in with Joe to see what we missed today by being out of the park.
