Life near the Golf Coast

Another day in paradise. We wake up and pinch just to make sure nothing has changed. Nope, we're in the south, it's warm and the sun is shining. Today we took a walk around the park stopping occasionally to talk with someone we know or maybe just met. This is a good way to get out and find somebody that wants to play golf and it worked again. One of our friends saw us and wanted to know if we were interested trying a different golf course. Of course we would because it's what we do. We headed north to Gainesville to play Ironwood golf course. The course wasn't bad but unfortunately we were. We'll just have to try again later in the week.

These drives we take around the area serve another purpose . Since we like to stop by the local off track betting parlor we are always looking for that one special horse that's going to bring home the bacon. Being in horse country would seem to make this task easy but the horses we see just want to wander over to the fence and see if you have a treat. We have placed bets on enough horses that just wander. We think we might have spotted a winner up north and are waiting to see if he shows up at the tracks we watch. We were able to get a sneak peak and have included a photo. He sure looks like a winner to us but we don't know too much about horses.

MVP would bet on that one, and somehow make $1 on it.
