Pam and Dennis arrived in the park today for a week or so visit. Their trailer is about 150 feet from ours. Since they were traveling today (2 hours from Daytona) I had told them I would have dinner for them. It's always nice on travel day to not have to worry about making dinner. She started this tradition in September. I had put a pork butt in the crockpot and shredded it for sandwiches. Half went into Dave's World Famous BBQ Sauce and the other half stayed in the sauce it was cooked in (brown sugar, Worcestershire and apple juice). I heard no complaints. sammies were followed up with a fudge cake I had made this afternoon.
We all biked around the park, and even managed to throw a few horseshoes. I remember my dad and all of his brothers throwing horseshoes for hours at a time at our Grandma's house. Our arms were tired after each of us only throwing 3 of them.
I'm proud to say that I was the only person to throw a ringer.

After dinner we gathered around the campfire with Joe and Marilyn and Bob.
