Good Eats

The joys of sleeping in - Mark managed to sleep in until 9:00 this morning. He was so well rested that he decided to wash the entire trailer. We are now clean and black-streak free once again. For some reason, these black streaks that run down from the roofs of trailers seem to drive owners insane (well, most owners). We'd had them since Gulf Shores in September, but were unable to wash them off until we got to Florida.

Mark then rewarded himself with one of his favorite pastimes:

Today was the first really sunny day that we've had to take a dip in the 85 degree heated pool. It was only a 2 hour visit since we hadn't had any sun in several months and didn't want to burn.

Once the sun started to go down, we did our 3-mile walk. The park has a "Walking Club." We mark down on a sign-up sheet how many miles we walk every day. Once someone gets to 100 miles, they get a Grand Lake Walking Club t-shirt. As a good friend of ours always said, "If it's free, it's for me!" We'll get those t-shirts in a couple of months.

I must give credit for our delicious dinner tonight to my friend Sally. She had emailed two crock pot recipes to me a few weeks ago. This dinner was browned pork chops topped with a can of Chicken and Rice soup, on low for 6-8 hours. It was fabulous. A crock pot is an RVers best friend.
