Golf at Last

Today was our first golf game for the year. We met John and Donna at a course that was almost mid-way between where they are staying and our park. It was good to get their perspective on wintering in Florida. It seems their days are being filled up by others in their park. I guess they'll have to rest up when they go back home in a couple of weeks.

The weather today was absolutely fabulous - sunny and mid-80s. I think we might have set a record for this day. The golf course was extremely crowded. Our tee time was 12:15, but we didn't get to tee off on the first hole until 12:45pm. Since we had no place we had to be, it didn't really bother us. However, since it was slow playing, we didn't get done until almost 6:00pm, which meant it was almost dark. Our scores weren't great, but we had a lot of laughs and even a few great shots.

Golf was followed up with dinner at one of our favorite places down here - Sam's St. John's Seafood. The fried shrimp and Mark's stuff flounder were wonderful. Not diet food, but it sure was good.

Tomorrow will be our day to rest!
