Winter Dance Party

The day started dry. It was the only time today it was dry. We needed to wash the comforter from our bed and the throws from the chairs in the living room so a large washing machine was required. We loaded up everything that was dirty and drove 20 miles to Williston. Diane watched the weather before we left and said we should miss most of the rain. The weather didn't understand and it began to rain at about 9:00 am. It is now 7:00 pm and it is still raining.

We went to lunch with Pam and Dennis in Citra to eat pizza and chicken wings. Not healthy, but always good eats. Tomorrow we return to The Villages to attend a Fifties Rock and Roll dance. I'm guessing the reason for a fifties show on this date is that fifty years ago on Feb 3 the music died. For any youngsters (under 50) reading this, Buddy Holly, JP "Big Bopper" Richardson and Ritchie Valens died on this day in a plane crash near Clear Lake,Iowa.

There are no pictures today because everybody knows what rain looks like! Here's hoping for a sunny Tuesday.
