Let's Get Ready To Rumble!

It's been several days since the last post so now I must try and remember what we've been doing. I've been battling a cold since Sunday and have been going to bed at 8:30, 9:30, and 10:00 so I'm been too tired to blog.

The weather has been fabulous. On Monday Mark and the guys went golfing about an hour north of our park. He said the course was really in bad shape - a few of the greens had been dyed "green" because the grass was dormant.

While he golfed, I ventured into Ocala in search of a hair cut, a stop into WalMart, the grocery store, and the Goodwill store. I got a decent cut, and managed to find a few items at Goodwill.

That evening we had a raging bonfire. Our neighbor in the park, Ron from Ottawa, joined us for several hours. The Canadians are always interesting to talk to. They know US geography better than we do, and we know nothing about Canadian geography.

Yesterday we golfed with Jim and Betty at a course none of us had ever played. Mark and Jim walked while Betty and I rode in a cart. We had lots of fun but none of us played well at all.

It was a hellish two hours at the laundromat this morning. It almost came to fistfights! I was using four washers when some lady came running it yelling she needed a machine immediately - she had a tee time and couldn't wait. Yeah - right. We all just stared at her like she had two heads. Then when I was getting ready to put my stuff in the dryers (I had cleaned them out and had the dryer sheets already in them) a couple who had washed their clothes in their motorhome were just going to dry in the laundromat. They tried to get my dryers, and that just wasn't going to happen. By this time there are 6 women, 2 men, 6 baskets of clothes waiting to be washed, and 4 empty baskets waiting to get clothes out of the dryer - all in this tiny laundromat. Then later the lady "who just had to have a washer right now" comes back to put her stuff in the dryer, only this time she brings her #*$& dog into the room and lets it run around. Of course, I who love dogs had had just enough of all laundry people, I had to comment, "Get your D*$&% dog out of here." This is the same lady to pushes her dog around the park in a baby stroller! We even saw her at the Tampa RV show with the dog in the stroller.

Luckily I only do laundry twice a week or I believe I would go insane. Our next, if there ever is a next, trailer will have a washer and dryer in it.

After lunch today we headed to the pool for several hours. We're off to The Villages tonight for live music and dancing with Pam and Dennis.
