The End of 2011 Travel

As a final post to our Gulf Shores trip, I'll try to remember what we did in the past two weeks.  Our final two days in Gulf Shores were spent on the beach.  The weather was fabulous, the water was just warm enough to get in, and the beach was empty.


The four of us enjoyed one last lunch at our favorite cheap restaurant, King Neptune's. 

We also managed to get in one last dinner at Wolf Bay Lodge because we had one last coupon to use for a free meal.

Mark finally got to feel the seagulls on our last day on the beach.  We'd been holding on to the Cornies for a few weeks before he finally remembered to get them to the beach. 

They're everywhere (crapping on our chairs!)

We left Gulf Shores at 4:30am on October 18 headed home.  Our goal was Sikeston, MO, which we made.  Sadly, it rained most of the day home.  We got to the storage lot on the 19th and have now settled in for the winter.

We were fortunate to attend Game 7 of the World Series where the Cardinals won.

And of course, we've seen Matthew numerous times, as well as our kids, parents, and friends.
