Playing Hand and Foot with Monette, Roger, Pam, and Mike.
We said all our goodbyes and headed to Oklahoma early Thursday morning. Sadly, when we hugged Gene and Charlene, little did we know that that would be last we would ever seen them. In a tragic accident on Saturday when they left Texas headed toward Florida, Charlene was killed in an accident with their motorhome. I'm glad we got to spend a week playing cards and laughing with them.
We stopped at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK right on the OK/TX border to spend the night before getting to Tulsa and the kids the next day. The casino had a spend $10, we'll give you $10 per person, per day, so we had to take advantage. We blew through Mark's $10 first, then played the comp $10. On the very first spin we won! Sadly, we didn't win anything on my $20.
Our $100 win was more than enough to pay for our night of camping, our buffet dinners, and enough for half a tank of diesel to get us to Tulsa.
Dennis and Ann have a beautiful house right across the street from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. They took us to a great BBQ restaurant downtown where we got an appetizer of bacon. It was great, as were the sandwiches we ordered.
Right after we got back to their house, Michael, Angie, and Matthew showed up.
Matthew really liked the upstairs. Aunt Ann had to make sure he didn't try to climb through.
We headed back to the RV park, less than 10 minutes from their house. We made plans to meet the next day to do some sightseeing.
Our first stop was the Tulsa Aquarium.
Matthew loved looking at the big fish.
Matthew chillin while Uncle Dennis was making us all ribs.
Early Sunday morning we headed for home. Time to unwind before we head to Tunica for a rally with our fellow Cedar Creek friends.
